As Executive Director, Matt oversees HR, Operations and Finance for all of KI. In partnership with the Senior Rabbi, as E.D. he leads the senior staff team and reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
After eight-and-a-half years serving the Trojan Jewish population at ‘SC, Matt moved to Israel for a year and served as the Director of Marketing for Livnot U’Lehibanot. Upon returning to Los Angeles, Matt was hired by American Jewish University (formerly known as the University of Judaism) as their Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
In addition to being a Jewish Communal Professional, Matt is also an award-winning composer of Jewish music and an avid Cleveland sports fan. He lives in Brentwood with his amazing children Clara and Izzy.
Rabbi Carrie Vogel
Director, Jewish Experience Center
Rabbi Carrie Vogel serves as the Director of the Jewish Experience Center. Carrie oversees and works with the JEC team to make sure that our programming and experiences are at the highest level.
Carrie and her husband Brian are the proud parents of their son, Jonah. She loves The Ohio State Buckeyes, hiking and reading.
Director, Early Childhood Center
Julie Dubron serves as the Director of the Early Childhood Center at Kehillat Israel. This includes the preschool, and the infant and toddler programs at the Parenting Center. Julie lives in the San Fernando Valley and
has two young sons who inspire her to continually grow and learn as both a parent and an educator.
Julie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies, a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and a California State Child Care Center Development Permit. Additionally, she holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from California State University, Northridge. She has worked in the field of early childhood care and education for over 20 years, in both direct service and administration. She has been an administrator at several child-care centers and worked in a publicly-funded resource and referral agency with family child-care providers to develop home-based programs and identify risk factors for developmental delays. Additionally, Julie has served as a mentor to students entering the teaching profession. She has worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District in its Ready for School Program, providing intensive training for parents as well as preschool and kindergarten teachers and administrators.
Julie values practices that bring the outdoor and indoor learning environments together harmoniously, thereby giving children an appreciation of the diversity in nature and sparking their inborn curiosity to continuously learn.
Julie lives in the San Fernando Valley with her two young sons who inspire her to continually grow and learn as both a parent and an educator.
