Second Friday of the month 7:00 PM - Family Shabbat Families experience Shabbat dinner (6:15 PM) and a Shabbat LIVE! service with band. Third Friday of the month 7:30 PM - Limmud Shabbat - A Shabbat of Learning Join the KI rabbis and occasional guest speakers for Shabbat services and a teaching session. Fourth Friday of the month 7:30 PM - Shir Shabbat - A Shabbat in Song Inspiring spiritual music (shir) characterizes this service. Fifth Friday of the month 7:30 PM - Tikkun Olam Shabbat Social action and environmental themes in discussion and prayer. Being called up for the Torah blessing is considered a great honor in most synagogues. If you have been given the honor of being called up for an aliyah, you will chant the blessings before and after the reading of the Torah.
