Our voyage concludes in Prague, where additional nights and optional tours can be added. The price includes deluxe cruise accommodations in an outside stateroom, KI exclusive Jewish Heritage tours, as well as guided general excursions of local interest. In addition, all fine dining meals with free flowing regional wines are included, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the ship, and each stateroom is equipped with a state-of-the-art "infotainment system" (high-speed internet access, hit Holllywood movies, and an extensive music library... all complimentary!) Bicycles are provided free of charge, for those who wish to ride them. Our Jewish Heritage tours will include visits to the Dohany Street Synagogue, (second largest synagogue in the world) and the Jewish Museum in Budapest, the tomb of Rabbi Chatam Sofer in Bratislava, the Jewish Museum, Judenplatz, and the Old Synagogue in Vienna, and the home of Oscar Schindler in Regensburg, Germany. An optional tour of Terezin, the infamous Nazi WWII concentration camp which now serves as a memorial to those who perished, will be available at the conclusion of the trip.
On board ship Judy Griffith will teach the history of the region and these incredibly beautiful cities. Judy is currently Headmaster of The Heritage School outside of Atlanta and has been teaching history for more than 40 years. She is a gifted teacher. Rabbi Bernstein will lead us in learning about the Jewish liturgical poetry, customs, melodies and personalities of the Jewish communities of this area with special focus on Rabbi Nachman of Bratslava.
European riverboat cruising has become immensely popular, and these voyages often fill up a year in advance. Space aboard this gorgeous, new vessel is extremely limited, and because of the special charter arrangement, we must ask for your commitment by October 31. Beyond that date, neither additional space nor the discounted price can be guaranteed.
